Established in 1987, Caritas Embu promotes social justice, economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, food security, water access, and emergency response. Our programs are guided by Catholic Social Teaching and are open to all, regardless of religious affiliation.

We operate across all five administrative sub-counties of Embu County:

Our development boundaries are aligned with the diocesan boundaries.

Our programs are designed for vulnerable and underserved populations, including:

  • Low-income households
  • Farmers and self-help groups
  • Women, youth, and persons with disabilities
  • Victims of emergencies and natural disasters
  • Widows, orphans, and the elderly
