At Caritas Embu, we believe in responding to human suffering with compassion, dignity, and urgency. Through our Relief and Charitable Centres, we offer lifesaving support and restorative care to individuals and families affected by poverty, natural disasters, conflict, illness, or abandonment.

Rooted in the values of the Church and guided by Catholic Social Teaching, our centres are places of hope, healing, and human dignity for the most vulnerable in our society.

Emergency Relief

In times of crisis, Caritas Embu steps in to provide immediate support:

  • Food aid, shelter, and clothing for families affected by drought, floods, fire, or displacement
  • Medical camps, essential supplies, and psychosocial support during health emergencies
  • Coordination with government and humanitarian partners for rapid response and long-term recovery

Charitable Homes & Support Centres

We run and support centres that offer care and shelter to:

  • Orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs)
  • The elderly, neglected, and chronically ill
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Abandoned or abused individuals in need of protection and care

Our services include food, shelter, education support, counseling, spiritual nourishment, and reintegration into family or community where possible.

Faith-Inspired Compassion

Our charitable work is inspired by the Gospel call to care for “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). We work through parishes, Small Christian Communities (SCCs), and lay volunteers to identify needs and reach the most forgotten members of society.

Our Impact

Every year, Caritas Embu reaches thousands of people through food distribution, health outreach, emergency aid, and direct care. Beyond physical support, we offer dignity, solidarity, and a renewed sense of belonging.
