Caritas Embu Staff Recharges and Unifies through Team Building
Friday, November 21st, saw the Caritas Embu staff put aside their daily tasks for a much-needed session of team building and self-care at the scenic Oasis Kiamuringa Embu. The goal was to strengthen the bonds of unity, enhance collaboration and remind our dedicated team of the importance of personal well-being the essential fuel for compassionate work.
The organization recognizes that effective charitable outreach depends entirely on the mental and emotional resilience of its workforce. Investing in staff unity and well-being is not a luxury; it is a strategic necessity that ensures sustained impact in serving the vulnerable. A team that trusts each other works more efficiently, handles stress more effectively and ultimately delivers higher quality service to the community.
The day was facilitated by the dynamic MC Hype Kenah of Fun Fix Entertainment, who led the team through a variety of engaging activities designed to encourage trust, open communication, and collective problem-solving. Laughter filled the air as staff members participated enthusiastically, reaffirming that a unified spirit is key to delivering effective charitable work. Challenges that required staff to rely on their colleagues broke down communication barriers and reinforced the value of interdepartmental synergy.
Beyond the games, MC Kenah delivered a powerful, personal message that resonated deeply with the entire team. Sharing his recent testimony of being involved in a serious accident that left both his legs broken and him unable to walk for three months, he urged the staff to prioritize self-care.
“Life can change at any moment. Only today is promised,” MC Kenah passionately stated. “We spend so much time pouring out to others through Caritas, but you must also cater for yourselves. Make time to have fun, pursue activities that make you feel alive, and fill your own cup, because you can only pour from a full one.”
