ACCRI and Diocese of Embu Caritas Teams Meet with the Rt. Rev. Peter Kimani Ndung’u
On Wednesday, 11th February 2026, representatives from ACCRI, together with the Diocese of Caritas team, paid a courtesy visit to the Bishop of the Diocese of Embu, Rt. Rev. Peter Kimani Ndung’u, at the Bishop’s residence.
Also present at the meeting were:
- Very Rev. Eliud Wanyoike, Vicar General, Diocese of Embu
- Rev. Fr. James Murithi, Director, Diocese of Embu Caritas
- Josphine Nyokabi, Programme Coordinator, Diocese of Embu Caritas
- Vincent Mutugi, ACCRI Diocese of Embu Caritas Field Operator
From ACCRI, those present included:
- Claudio Filippi and Gigi Mattiusi, members of the ACCRI monitoring team.
- Cleria Gakii and Francesca Ngatha, the new ACCRI volunteers.
- Bianca Njeri and Rosella Mumbi, outgoing ACCRI volunteers.
The meeting was a significant occasion to reflect on the long-standing partnership between ACCRI and the Diocese of Embu. Discussions centered on the success of past initiatives, updates on current projects, and the exploration of new areas for future collaboration.
The bishop appreciated the continued collaboration with ACCRI and the contribution of both outgoing and incoming volunteers to the work of caritas Embu within the Diocese.
The visit concluded with a shared lunch hosted at the Bishop’s residence.
